Do I need a Slide SHIELD for both feet?
Most players require a Slide SHIELD for one foot only. Usually, the foot of your non-playing hand. In other words, right-handers usually require a Slide SHIELD for their left foot. Left-handers usually require a Slide SHIELD for their right foot.
Some players may benefit from a Slide SHIELD on each foot. Because most players require a Slide SHIELD for one foot only, they are sold individually
Will I notice my Slide SHIELD when I'm playing?
Slide SHIELD has been designed to be very light (12-18 grams, depending on the model) and fit over your shoe snugly. Our play testers are high level tournament players and have worn Slide SHIELDS over many hours of training and tournament play - and they report they don't notice their Slide SHIELD at all. When fitted correctly, you will probably forget you are wearing it - until you look at your shoes!
My Slide SHIELD is getting damaged and wearing out during play. Is this normal?
Yes, this is exactly how Slide SHIELD works. Slide SHIELD is designed to wear out out, instead of your expensive shoes. At a fraction of the cost of a pair of shoes, it is more economical to buy a Slide SHIELD than a new pair of shoes
Does Slide SHIELD damage the court?

The lifespan of your Slide SHIELD depends on a few factors, including:

- For mild sliders, the Slide SHIELD will likely last the life of your shoes
- For moderate and severe sliders, a few Slide SHIELDs may be used through the life of your shoes
- The court surface
- Hard courts are very abrasive and will cause the most damage to your Slide SHIELD, if you are a "slider"
- If playing mostly on hard courts, you will need to replace your Slide SHIELD more regularly
- Clay courts are not as abrasive as hard courts
- If playing on clay courts, the Slide SHIELD could last the life of your shoes
- The model of Slide SHIELD you are using
- The CLUB has a 3mm shield and will have the shortest lifespan
- The COMP has a 4.5mm shield and should have a lifespan approximately 50% longer than the CLUB
